Down
The story of our down began in 1974, when Fjallraven's founder, Oke Nordin, promised to make a jacket that would keep you warm in the harshest Swedish winters. It was the Expedition down jacket, filled with high quality Fill Power 600 down.
Now, over the years, our ethically sourced Fjällräven Down Promise, with its exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, is recognized as one of the best in the outdoor industry.
The combination of feathers and down with Fill Power affects the insulation's ability to retain air and, in turn, the warming capabilities of the jacket. As a rule of thumb, the more down and the higher the Fill Power number, the warmer the jacket.
Polar
The Fjällräven Polar is a 300 km journey across the Arctic wilderness by sled with more than 200 sled dogs. This annual event, accessible to ordinary people, is designed to raise interest and spread knowledge about the environment and outdoor activities.
