Wool
At Fjallraven, we believe that wool is one of nature's most functional materials. Wool keeps you warm by trapping air between its fibers, even when wet, and it does not insulate heat, which helps you stay cool even in high, above-zero temperatures. The name of our Bergtagen collection is related to an ancient legend. This Swedish word was used to warn people away from the mountains, and it was shrouded in the myth of trolls living in mountain caves and kidnapping lonely travelers. Those who were lucky enough to return were never the same. Their thoughts remained in the mountains.
Nowadays, this word is used to describe the obsession with being in the mountains. After all, those who have fallen in love with mountain landscapes always return to the peaks with their thoughts.
