Recycled Polyester
Fjallraven uses recycled polyester instead of conventional polyester. Our polyester is strong but soft; it is low wrinkle and easy to clean. Recycled polyester is made from plastic PET bottles, unusable second-hand fabrics and scraps.
By reusing fabrics, we reduce the use of virgin raw materials, especially from non-renewable sources, which has an indirect effect - we reduce air, water and soil pollution.
Bergtagen
The name of our Bergtagen collection is related to an ancient legend. This Swedish word was used to warn people away from the mountains, and it was shrouded in the myth of trolls living in mountain caves and kidnapping lonely travelers. Those who were lucky enough to return were never the same. Their thoughts remained in the mountains.
Nowadays, this word is used to describe the obsession with being in the mountains. After all, those who have fallen in love with mountain landscapes always return to the peaks with their thoughts.
Rising above the tree line, we find ourselves in another world, which is really very demanding. Therefore, in cooperation with the Swedish Association of Mountain Guides, we have created the Bergtagen family, whose products are designed to make your stay in the mountains pleasant and useful.
