G-1000 is Fjallraven's main material, durable and strong, and protects against wind and UV radiation.
G-1000 is a strong and tough material, but sometimes you need something lighter. That's why we created G-1000 Lite, a less rigid and more flexible version of G-1000 that offers the same strength and tear resistance thanks to its rip-stop weave.
G-1000 Lite is lightly wicking to provide protection against light winds. Clothing made from G-1000 Lite does not protect against mosquitoes, but it does protect against UV radiation.
Ovik
Where it all began. Övik is the name of the town of Ernshöldsvik, where Fjallraven was born. This city is located near the High Coast, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The picturesque views of the coastline inspired us to create a family of products for everyday use in the outdoors.
