Polyamide

Polyamide is a synthetic material widely used in clothing and equipment production due to its unique properties.
The main advantage of polyamide is its strength and wear resistance, it does not fade or wear out. It is lightweight and breathable. Polyamide is excellent at wicking away moisture, making it quick to dry.

In its new goods, Fjallraven uses recycled polyamide to minimize the pressure on nature and keep the quality level.

Lyocell

Lyocell is a material made from cellulose derived from chopped eucalyptus or beech wood, which are fast-growing trees. The material is produced under the Tencel® brand name.
Tencel's production process uses trees from environmentally friendly certified plantations, and 99.5% of all chemicals are processed in a closed system. Thanks to this, Tencel® received the European Environmental Award.
In addition to being environmentally friendly, Lyocell also has fantastic functional properties. Like cotton, it is soft and smooth, but it is much more moisture-wicking, absorbing 50% more water. It drapes well, but practically does not wrinkle.

G-Loft Supreme

G-Loft®Supreme, developed especially for Fjällräven by experts from Austria. The material is made from a blend of fine hollow polyester fibers, 10% of which are recycled. Synthetic fibers have a natural ability to form clusters, which creates small pockets of air, similar to a down feather. And it is these pockets that protect you from the cold by keeping your body warm.
A special feature of Fjallraven's G-Loft Supreme® is its ability to restore its original shape after compression. This "memory effect" is due to the recycled polyester fibers. They are stiffer than the fibers of virgin polyester and this gives the material increased elasticity. This beneficial ability of the material to regain its shape remains after repeated washing and prolonged use.

Eco-Shell Original

Fjallraven's Eco-Shell is a lightweight, waterproof, breathable material made from recycled polyester with a water-repellent (DWR) impregnation on the outer layer and a hydrophilic membrane underneath.
Any outdoor brand needs functional protective clothing.
When we created Eco-Shell, we didn't just want to make a durable and wind and rain resistant material; we also wanted to do it without harming the environment, so we chose a PFC-free impregnation.
PFCs or perfluorocarbons are widely used in the outdoor industry because of its water-repellent properties, but unfortunately, it does not biodegrade and can persist in living organisms for several years, gradually moving up the food chain.
Eco-Shell Original is a three-layer material that provides versatile performance thanks to the perfect combination of light weight, high breathability and elasticity.
