G-1000 Air Stretch is Fjallraven's latest development, a high quality stretchy and breathable fabric based on the durable and wear-resistant G-1000 material. Thanks to its properties, G-1000 Air Stretch is ideal for making lightweight, breathable clothing that allows full freedom of movement. Like all versions of G-1000, this material is very durable, so it will withstand the stress of any activity. It is made of organic cotton and partially recycled polyester.

With G-1000 Air, Fjallraven has taken warm-weather clothing to the next level. This ultra-lightweight material is even more breathable than G-1000 Lite because it has a looser structure and is not wicking, which allows for even better air circulation. But this also means that the G-1000 Air is not resistant to wet or windy weather or insects.

The story of our down began in 1974, when Fjallraven's founder, Oke Nordin, promised to make a jacket that would keep you warm in the harshest Swedish winters. It was the Expedition down jacket, filled with high quality Fill Power 600 down. 
Now, over the years, our ethically sourced Fjällräven Down Promise, with its exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, is recognized as one of the best in the outdoor industry. 
The combination of feathers and down with Fill Power affects the insulation's ability to retain air and, in turn, the warming capabilities of the jacket. As a rule of thumb, the more down and the higher the Fill Power number, the warmer the jacket.

Bergshell is a brand new Fjallraven fabric that is extremely durable and fully waterproof thanks to a 10,000 mm thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) layer. At the same time, Bergshell meets Fjallraven's high environmental standards - it is made from 31% recycled nylon, using a technology that halves CO2 emissions.
Two different types of fibers are used to make Bergshell as tear-resistant and abrasion-resistant as possible. One is a conventional filament yarn with a smooth surface that resists abrasion but is very tear-resistant. The second is an air-textured filament that has a fleecy surface and creates a fabric with extreme abrasion resistance.
